    How do I know if my chickens were successful in mating? They are 14 weeks old. I noticed my Rooster only tries it with a certain hen. I've seen him do it a couple times already. We haven't started getting any eggs from these chickens yet. Are they even old enough? The are the reddish/orange...

    Hen just died and was gasping for air.

    I have a hen that suddenly started gasping and wheeezing, soon after that she died. I can't figure out what happened. I first thought- heat stroke..... so I put her in a cool but not cold pool of water. But she wasn't hot and none of the other hens seem bothered. Any thoughts??
