    Winston is sad

    We rescued a buff orpington rooster last week. Right now he is our only adult chicken and is all alone in the coop. When can I let him out to free range? I feel bad he is cooped up all alone.

    Sumatras and coops

    Hi everyone. I am considering adding Sumatras to my flock but I have read they do not like to be confined. I live in Michigan. Where do I put them in the winter? Do I force them to be in the coop with the other chickens or would they be better outside? Thanks
