My roo is a year old and crows every 20ish minuites all night long and has for 6 months. Their coop is preditor proof with plenty of ventalation and protection from the wind. Google says these are the common problem yet all is well. What could ot be with my sweet boy
I have 10 pullets and 2 Roos all 6 months old or so. I also have 6 pullets about 8 weeks old and are obviously a lot smaller. My 12 big ones all get along great but they are mean to the little ones when I put them in with them. I mean really mean. Please advise y’all. I feel it’s early.
I got three eggs today 😀. I’m not sure who laid the dark one. Possibilities are silver laced Wyandotte, Asian black , jersey giant , partridge rock, and those island red. These are the only Brown layers. The white is prob our white leghorn. We also have blue and green eggers that haven’t laid...
Every now and then an egg will be in the box. I have a ceramic one in each but only 3 of my 10 pullets are laying. They are 21 weeks and it’s exciting but the ones that aren’t laying keep kicking all of the straw out of box. What should I do because when they lay on coop floor they get covered...
So I got my first egg 2 weeks or so ago and there was blood. I was nervous but yay no more blood after 4 days. I get 2 eggs a day every day 😀❤️ But I have 10 pullets all about 21 weeks old in this part of my flock and 2 Roos. That means 8 pullets army laying yet. Is that normal at 21 weeks.
Four of my pullets became hens today and I’m so proud. But I am a little concerned. They laid them on the coop floor not the nesting boxes. Also, there is blood on the coop floor beside where I got the eggs. Is that normal. They aren’t even 5 months yet. To compare size, the blood amount would...
We have 12 and just added 3 so now 15 😀 the 3 new are 2 americuana silkies and one starlite green egger. The rest of our flock is 4-5 months old so will be nervous as is normal to introduce. They are all amazing for sure

I posted this as advice to someone and a lot of people replied that they’ve never heard this and let me tell you it’s the best. If you have fly problems take a 2 liter bottle and put a hole in it a little smaller than a dime about 3/4 of the way up the bottle and fill with sardines and a cup of...
My flock on average are 70 days old. There are 12 of them and at night they huddle out side the hen house and I have to pick each one up every night to put to bed about 9pm. They aren’t afraid of the house. It’s completely predator proof and they go in and out all day long. They are getting...
