    RIR with white ears and white eggs???

    Hi! I bought my first chickens this spring (two hens and one is a Salmon Faverolle). I was told this hen was a Rhode Island Red, but when she started laying we were surprised to find white eggs. Also I just noticed her white earlobes. Did I end up with some kind of mutt? Can anyone tell? Thanks...

    Rhode Island Red and Salmon Faverolle in Colorado

    Hi, we live in Colorado and we are slowly incorporating permaculture to bring life to our small suburban backyard. Our two chickens, a Rhode Island Red and Salmon Faverolle, which we bought as pullets, just began laying and we're really excited and enjoying how much fun they are.
