My hens just started laying eggs. They have learned to use the nest box for laying eggs only; however, sometimes their are poop skid marks on the eggs. Is this normal?
If so how do I clean and store the eggs? If this is not normal, what could it be?

So my chicks are 20 weeks old today. I have 2 Buff Orpingtons, 2 California Greys, and 1 Wyandotte. They have been eating chick feed. What now? And any certain way to introduce new food?
I have 5 beautiful 18 week old chicks in my flock: 2 California Greys, 2 buff Orpingtons, and 1 gold laced Wyandotte. I am a first time chicken owner and loving it; however, have lots to learn and many questions.
