I have two separate duck flocks And I’m still trying to decide how to replace my oldest Duckcoop. One idea I had was to add an addition onto my extra large coop, but I’m also looking at buying a shed kit and want to know how hard it is to cut into resin and to add windows for ventilation to...
I’ve been wanting and needing to build a third duck house for 7 ducks needing 4 ft.² each - 28 ft.². A 6 x 6 building will be good. - 36 ft.² (and if I want to I can sneak in two more ducks ha ha)
The part that scares me is building a frame and cutting wood at angles
But I just found this...
I can’t believe how loud they are. I just acquired to the young ladies about five months old, a black and a silver, and especially the silver one is the loudest duck I’ve ever known and I’ve had between one and two dozen ducks at any given time over the last 12 years of many varying breeds lol...
Why does bunny even need the cage? Would The play pen be fine without it? She hops in and out but at night I close due to keep her in cage but I don’t know why?
Just gave my three hens five days of Corid water,
Should i give them vitamins now? What kind? How much? For how long?
(3 chocolate Orpington hens 2 and 3 years old, weights around 8 pounds each)
I’m taking in these two fine young ladies this weekend
The owner said they were ducklings from tractor supply
I guess the black one is Swedish and the white one is perhaps a silver runner?
She’s so pretty with her black Bill I’ve never owned either of these breeds yet
So excited
I got a male and female three months old dwarf lion heads from Amish breeder and he says there’s no problem letting them live together , don’t need to separate them.
I was thinking that if she got pregnant and then started acting like she was going to have the babies, I would separate him out...
@TudyBOT
I just got 2 dwarf lionhead bunnies they are approximately 3 months old , a male and a female. I want to learn all I can about caring for them! Where are the threads about raising bunny rabbits?
I have three chocolate English Orpington hens. Two of them lay lovely, brown eggs the other one lays eggs that are very light brown, almost white, and the shells feel like sandpaper. She also frequently has little dark spots inside her eggs.
Wondering what’s going on
Has anyone ever used UREA cream for a callus on your birds foot either a chicken or a duck or another poultry?
It comes in different strengths. There’s a 20% 40% and 60% UREA cream it’s supposed to soften and remove calluses on people.
One of my ducks has a callous that is not Bumblefoot not...
Earl is seven weeks old. He’s a pilgrim gander, but his eyes are not blue. Do they turn blue eventually ? Like gradually? I don’t remember if Charlie (my original gander who is Earl’s dad) had the blue eyes when he was that young but I kind of think he did.
Can anyone point me to any of the coop build articles that might work for me? Like to be able to walk in and out (I’m 5’7) but I understand that will drive up the price so I’m thinking maybe a short building with a hinged roof that I can open from the top to reach in for cleaning
My goslings are six weeks old today they live in a coop outside with their parents and have had water and food overnight in there every night and oh boy what a mess every morning so many poops- I am hoping they don’t need the overnight feed and water anymore?
