Hello, all. My almost 2 year old red star hybrid went broody a few days ago and while I was handling her, I noticed the tip of her outer toe is blackened.
I try to keep an eye on all my chickens' feet to watch for signs of trouble , so I can't imagine that this is more than a week or so old...

One of my fourteen week old hens has started to concern me lately. I'm a bit worried she may have a vision impairment due to some behaviors not observed in my other two.
I'm feeding them small amounts of cracked corn 2-3 times per day to keep them warm and Ziggy (the gal in question)...

(A) I am new to being owned by chickens but have prior experience "chicken-sitting." I got my first brood 14 weeks ago.
