Is this a variation of normal? Just layer feed and the occasional dried fruit treats! Teriyaki just started laying, and this is what her eggs look like.
My polskie girl, Chicken Little, has been straining since yesterday. This morning I noticed this poop which I have never seen before, and the black feathers around it are hers. She hasn't laid her first egg yet, so I thought maybe egg bound? I gave her a warm bath for 5 minutes and crushed up...
Got 4 chicks from TSC to add to our flock...Supposedly Ameraucanas and Buff Orps, but he couldn't be sure. What are they...besides cute of course ☺
Brownie: Dark chocolatey brown color
Sunny: bright yellow/with some white
Wanda: grey/yellow/white/some dark brown

We bring chicks into our tub for playtime with scrambled eggs or some meal worms to make them love us! Lol. My 5 year old thoroughly enjoys this...as do the little chicky babies.
We are getting 3 bunnies to use their manure for our gardens, show in 4h, and eventually breed for meat.
1 will be a Holland lop and 1 a rex. Which should the 3rd be? They will be outdoors, best cages? We are building a large run for them to play in during the day, but a cage for other times...
I have put yellow dots next to the codes pertaining to animals. Very vague...but I've read it a lot and had others read it, and as far as we can see...not against a code?

Photo 1: Black Widow...Definitely cockerel. 5 weeks, marans mix or whiting true blue. No idea.
Photo 2: Chickaletta...5 weeks cuckoo marans/mix? Not confident on gender.
Hi all! I live in Central Kansas, and my chicks are 4.5 weeks old. I am wondering when would be okay to move them out to their coop/run? Pictures of my feathered babies & the weather for the foreseeable future. We have EEs, silkie crosses, & cuckoo marans.
This is Queenie. The guy we got this chick from said she was an easter egger/olive egger or green egger. What mix do you think he/she is? She is 4.5 weeks and on the smaller size compared to her hatch mates. Black skin, feathered legs and the feathers she/he has are not as full or pretty as the...

Ignore poop! Cleaning out the brooder and I stick them in the tub until I am done. :)
Chick 1: Supposedly either black marans or whiting true blue...pretty sure a roo. 4 weeks old!
Chick #2: Supposedly a whiting true blue or black marans...at first I thought roo, but comb and waddle are still...
Here is one our EE chicks, Henny Penny. My 3 year old son and 5 year old daughter played with her outside for half an hour before she went back to the brooder. :) Henny Penny is 4 weeks old!
Help me figure out gender of our chickens! We can only have girls in town, so the sooner we know, the better so we can raise them from hatch and interact as much as possible.
Ps: My kiddos named all of the chicks :)
