Hello all! We live in south western ontario Canada. Very wet icy chilling cold winters.
We have our chickens (10- most are bantam/small) in a hardware cloth and wood chicken tractor (rats, dogs, foxes, hawks ruined our free ranging experience- our house is just in a bad area).
I am concerned...
The lighter ones are supposed to be a year old
The redder ones (called 'red hens' when I bought them) are supposed to be around 20 months old.
Are they variations of the same things (red sexlink type hybrid?)?

Got new wyandotte chicks the other day.
He is standing on one foot. It looks swollen, The foot shakes when your holding him. He also pooped and it looks dry..? The children were holding them earlier, could it be a injury? Bumblefoot?
We are so new to chicks. What do I do? What is it?

Hi all! This is our first time with quail. We noticed one (we think it's a male), collecting any feathers off the bottom of the cage into a pile in the corner. What is he up to?
