We found a neat little pile of bones of several chickens, chicks and quail that have gone missing, or died over the last several months in the corn field behind our home. My son had also apparently🤨 put a chick that had recently died in his racoon trap and the critter bysteped the trigger and...

I was going to go totally hands off this hatch but now I'm worried about this one. Eggs were set at like 10pm on the 26th.
The bator wasn't set up for lock down yet and we could hear chirping. I candled quick to mark the air sack and when i got to the 44th egg I realized it was pipped on the...

She Hatched the end of February. Somehow I missed that her feet and legs are a bit wonky. She gets around, but a bit slower than the rest and is smaller. Is there anything I can do to help her?

Those chick Hatched yesterday, was running around eating etc today.
I thought it was just super tired at first.
We were having A hard time keeping a child out of the broader earlier- what if it's an injury!!???

I am concerned...
The lighter ones are supposed to be a year old
The redder ones (called 'red hens' when I bought them) are supposed to be around 20 months old.
Are they variations of the same things (red sexlink type hybrid?)?
they always pick on my wyandotte pullets/Cockrels..
Hi! Is 1/4in coated hardware cloth too fine for a silkie chicken tractor floor?
We had many chicks slaughtered by a rat and we know there are weasels in the area. Really wanted to get as close to free ranging as possible though... for as cheap as possible (husband is a student)...and we already...
