What The??? Bantam Rooster Australorp Hen

Oof! I have no clue how they did it, but they did. My small Bantam Rooster, only Rooster I have, managed to breed with my Australorp hen. I only know this because I gathered eggs yesterday and the one I used was fertile. I'm not going to collect from her anymore. It will be interesting to see...

    My Growing Flock

Well, I did it again. LOL Monday, I gave away one of my Golden Sebright Roosters. I had 2 and only 1 hen. He's now living on an awesome wild Mustang rescue farm. My two remaining Golden Sebrights are very happy together. I do have plans on finding a couple more hens for him. BUT, TODAY, in...

    Golden Sebright Feathers

When I first purchased my Golden Sebrights, I was less than impressed with them. They were high strung and just didn't fit my personality. I thought about selling them but was held back as I was trying to sell others from my OE Bantam flock. Long story short. I am glad I didn't make time to...

Cockrell killed pullets and other Cockrells

    Identify This Chick PLEASE

This chick was #4 pick after picking up three golden sebrights at Tractor Supply May 6th of this month. 50% off in bin of Bantams. I have NO clue what this chick can be. The beak is beautiful, the feathers seem to be coming in like a sebright but it's not one. I AM ASSUMING it might be an Old...

Holy moley.. We started with one rooster and one hen in February. Today, we have hatched a total of 13 chicks. 8 via incubator and Mama brooding 5. Hatching began on Easter. They ALL look alike and we can't tell pullets from cockrells. My husband also added 5 other chicks into the mix bringing...

    What Am I

Hello all - My husband purchased 2 chicks at a local feed store. He was told by the clerk they were Silky Bantams. They are anything but. They are now between 4 & 5 weeks old. He was also told they both would be hens. I'm still not sure. Honestly, I need help identifying them. This is Muppet...

    New Member in San Diego

Hello all! I am so glad to be here. I am starting a new little flock in the San Diego area. My chickens are Leghorn Bantams. I currently have one hen & one very handsome rooster, who seems to be a Blue Red Leghorn, but I am not exactly sure. He sure is beautiful though and the reason I am...
