First time chicken owner here. Our Speckled Sussex (~6 months old) has been acting off the last couple of days. She’s hanging in the coop (up on roost) and not eating/drinking like normal. This is a pic of her poop. Can anyone give advice as to what may be the problem? We had a polish...
What do I have?!? Some of the tail feathers have a green sheen to them. There’s not much of a comb to go by so I’m not sure if that’s a help or not. Thank you for your help!
I’m searching for an Orloff breeder (or farm that has them) around the Pittsburgh, PA area. Specifically looking for pullet (chicks or juveniles). I’m willing to travel in any direction from Pittsburgh.
Thank you!
Any guesses (or can just flat out tell) if we have a pullet or roo? This little one is 5-6 weeks old. We already had to send 1 roo back to the farm (out of the 4 chicks we got 😫).
I feed my chicks Grubbly Little Pecks feed. They LOVE it. My question is, can I keep them on this feed indefinitely instead of switching to a layer feed (along with providing a feeder of oyster shell for the calcium).
I’m new to the chicken scene and have a few chicks (all of which are different breeds). I do love my little Orloff! This chick is 4 1/2 weeks old. Any guesses on gender?! I haven’t had a whole lot of luck on Google searches about this breed. Thanks for your help.
Hi All,
Best guess on what this 3-4 week old Chocolate Orpington is? We just got our first chicks so I really don’t know much about them. But I do know this one looks different than the other 3 (which are all different breeds). Fatter legs, pink(ish) comb, no tail feathers, and just bigger...
