    Separating mom and babies?

    Hi all, our Buff just hatched a 2 ducklings yesterday. Our city doesn’t allow more than 4 hens, and we have a family lined up to take them now that they’re hatched… I’m wondering when would be least stressful for the new babies? We hatched the parents (a runner and the buff) from eggs last year...

    Hatched but still connected?

    Hi all, I’ve got a runner duck that hatched today, and it looks like the yolk sac has been absorbed… BUT the membrane still has blood vessels and is still connected to the duck. This is my first successful hatchling so I don’t know what I don’t know. Does this just take time? I plan to leave...
