    I have 2 ducks 2 hens & 1 rooster who act as their own flock. I have 5 hens who act as another who are only 2-3 weeks younger than the others. The older ones will not let the younger ones around them at all... whether it’s free ranging, in the coop or run. Will it always be like this? Any tips?

    I have 3 chickens who are 8 weeks old, 2 ducks that are 6 weeks old and all are fully feathered. I bought a heat plate for their coop outside and we’re going to be in the 30’s tonight. Should I use the heat plate or are they old enough that they will be alright?

    Should I use the heat plate?

    We just moved our birds outside... 3 chickens who are 8 weeks old and 2 ducks who are 6 weeks old, they are all feathered. Tonight’s low is supposed to be 47 degrees... I bought a heat plate for cold nights but it seemed to make the coop too warm. Is that too cold for them or will they be alright?
