    This was a relatively young Khaki campbell (24 weeks) that was noticed away from the flock 2 days ago and not eating, brought her inside and tried to get her to eat & drink with no luck, she died the next morning.     Hardiest egg layers?

    Hi, upstate NY here and have a mixed flock of cayugas, rouens, and khaki campbells. Was hoping the khakis would be my good layers, and some of them have been, but unfortunately we've lost two to sudden death with no obvious indicators... the first was months ago, 2nd one just got sick and died...

    What age/ weight to process Rouens & Cayugas?

    I got 20 ducklings in this year, they're currently at 10 weeks and was going to seperate the meat birds/ most of the drakes and the ducks that I'm keeping for eggs, hoping to fatten up the meat birds towards the end with milk, corn, and peas.. Weighed them today and most of the ducks/ drakes...
