    If im supposed to turn eggs 3 times a day, does the time i set it count as one turn?

    So if I need to turn them 3 times a day does the time I set it count it as a turn or do I need to turn them 3 times after I set, if that makes sense. I'm confused about this.

    Temperature on the base of incubator is higher than at egg level.

    My temperature when measured at the bottom of my still air styrofoam incubator reads at 38.9 while at egg level it's at 37.8 which temperature reading should I follow because I'm worried it I kill the eggs.

    How do i calibrate thermometer without having an already calibrated one in the first place?

    Sorry if this has been asked before, but I tried to scroll many posts here and couldnt find an answer. How do I calibrate a thermometer if I dont already own a calibrated one? My digital thermometer says 38.0 but my oral thermometer says 38.0. Should I get a mercury thermometer and calibrate it...

    Can't seem to get the perfect balance between humidity and temperature in my homemade incubator.

    I made a styrofoam incubator with a lightbulb and also vent holes for increasing or decreasing the temperature when needed. The problem I'm having now is when I close the holes, the temperature goes up too high for my liking which is around 38.9 c, if I open the holes the temp would be just nice...

    Incubator fluctuates a little bit, worried if there is any issues

    My homemade incubator fluctuates a little bit during the day and night, often its around 37.7c and it fluctuates throughout the day from 37.7c to the highest which is 38.7c going up and down throughout the day within this range.
