Hey all!
One of the most infamous questions on this form is regarding genders of Silkies… and here’s another one just for clarification and other opinions and insights.
White Silkie (Hen)
Black Silkie (Roo)?
Thank you all in advance for your wisdom and experience and I look forward to hearing...
I have a beautiful 2-week batch of Silkies. A few of them have different feathering than others. They almost look like auto-sexing feathers.
Would love any and all input!
I just had to share pictures of my absolutely gorgeously handsome calico Cochin cockerel, Ginji…. My students got to name him since he was actually hatched at school on a teacher workday (yes, I absolutely took the incubator for a ride 😂). ❤️❤️❤️
I have a growing fluffy butt hut of my own and love each and every one of them. They are my zen and always wait and welcome me in our coop. If you need to rehome any, reply and we can go from there! 🥰
I have some beautiful fluffies that I either am not sure of the gender, breed, or both (haha). As always, any and all thoughts are appreciated!

I already have what seems to be an ever expanding flock; however, the largest portion are Silkies which I’m hoping to breed. With that being said, I figured I was already that far in, so let’s get set up for incubating. I had 6 hatching eggs and was blessed with 3 little miracles yesterday (…...
Happy New Year! Thanks in advance for reading and providing feedback. I have, coughing ahead of time, just a few Silkie babies that I'm trying to confirm if Hen/Roo (😍 my Silkies and all the rest of my fluffy butts)... I posted over a month or so ago about the gender of a few of them and it was...
This is my "Momma's Boy" of the flock... He greets me and is waiting for me to come talk to him any time the door opens and when I go into the coop, he's either walking with me, on my shoulder, or sitting in my lap. I have a few ideas of what he may be crossed with, but I was hoping maybe...
I know it’s too early for the novice, but wanted to see if the Master Silkie owners & breeders had an idea…
My first Silkie is only 10-11 weeks and is already getting his voice (he’s my spoiled baby though…❤️ - first & second pictures).
As always thank you for your time and experience! 😊
“Turk” was all alone at TSC in the summer and well… he’s my unique feathered friend that is always a topic of conversation.
“Chunky Monkey, aka Chunk-a-Monk” is a white Leghorn; however, I was hoping someone might be able to tell if my bubble cheeked friend is a hen or roo?
As always, thanks...
I have 2 Silver Laced Polish babies…
It may be too early, but it looks like I may have one of each possibly???
(Left = Pullet? / Right = Cockerel?)
Thanks in advance for your guidance 😊
HELP! My “Georgie” got her foot stuck and it now appears to be broken. She isn’t moving it at all and when in water, there’s no movement.
Can it be splinted and if so, what’s the best way… or what else can done?
Thanks so much in advance!!!!

Hello,
I'm a fairly new fellow flocker and am primarily focused on feathered, funky friends, haha. I purchased an assortment and I think I know what a few may be, but would like to hear from veteran flockers.
1) Ancona?
2) Mille Fleur d'Uncle?
3) Porcelain d'Uncle?
4) Mystery...
