    remove the heat and its safe to move chicks to the coop permanently? Our chicks will be 4 weeks on Wednesday and are feathered but not fully and it is still cold here at night plus we have wind (lots of wind at times) today and tomorrow are supposed to get to 28 at night. We have no way to heat...

    So I have been spending more time with my 3 week old chicks and we have all but one who when we open the pen (take the cover off) who will fly to the ledge. But we have one whom we have named Red (no reason other than she has a red band on her leg lol) who will fly to me and then cuddle down...

    Poop on chicks feet...Is this normal???

    Is anyone else having issues with poop on your chicks feet? I have my little guys on puppy pads which I change out 2-3 times a day but I find I am still having to wash thier feet to get the poop off as I dont want them to get sores. (I think a few of them might have sores already) Any Advice?

    Question about what I think might be pasty butt

    When cleaning my chicks enclosure today I inspected their behinds and did not see any severe or obvious pasty butt. But I did see a few with little lines on their fluff and one that has a little bit of red around her up in the fluff. Is this pasty butt?
