    We are second guessing.. Roo?

We have a confirmed Easter Egger Roo that's been crowing since around 6-8 weeks and has an obvious red comb. This Easter Egger was purchased at the same time. Approximately 12 weeks old now... has a pink comb but it's a decent size, no crow yet, but the feathers have us questioning. What's your...

    Wanna take a guess??

Just picked these chicks up today from a rare breed hatchery choice bin. 3 have puffed cheeks... Figured out that the light colored one is not a faverolle due to the missing extra toe and feathers on the feet. It does have a little gray on top of its head. Last picture shows the breeds that they...

    10 Week Golden Laced-Cockerel?

Started questioning gender a couple weeks ago when we noticed earlier comb/waddle development than the other golden laced. Their feather coloring is slightly different as well in the neck area.Today while outside we also started seeing green hue in the tail feathers. Assuming cockerel but wanted...

    Could this mean cockerel?

I have 4 Buff Orpingtons around 3 weeks old. 3 of them are caught up on their feathering but I have this one that is behind. It's the friendliest out of the 4... Curious and will come right up to our hands. New to raising chicks and I thought I saw somewhere that slow feathering could be a sign...

    Can you guess the breed?

Posted yesterday about a mystery chipmunk chick. This one was in the same bin marked 'premium' and got it along with the other chick. Looks only slightly different than that one... This one has some speckles on it's face. I've checked the hatchery website but can't tell which breed because of...

    Mystery Chipmunk Chick

Got 2 of these cuties out of an on sale 'premium' bin. Employees were unsure of breed, just that they were considered premium chicks. I have golden laced wyandottes and starlight green eggers which look similar, but not exactly alike. Posted in a couple facebook groups where I am getting a ton...
