I don’t know if I’m looking too much into this, but is this perhaps early stages of scaly leg mites? They are only on 2 of my 4YO Plymouth Rocks. Is something else maybe wrong with their feet/legs or am I just overthinking?
Also not sure if this is dry comb due to the cold weather here or...
I need a little advice. I have a 3&1/2 YO Plymouth Rock hen, Winnifred, that is going through a HARD molt right now. I noticed her legs and feet looked much paler than those of her sisters and I believe her feet look a little swollen. I have never seen bumblefoot in person before, but it doesn't...
For size reference, it’s about the size of my pinky fingernail.
My 3&1/2 YO broad rock hen, Blanche, is having some issues. She had been having some bad diarrhea and was lacking luster. I separated her and determined she had an impacted (doesn’t appear to be sour) crop. I believe the blockage...
Before I start, I had posted a thread about this poor girl, Blanche back in July. Here is the link for the back story: Original Post from July 2024

I have 3YO Barred Rock Hen who is just plain not looking so hot. She is very dull looking compared to his sisters. Her comb and waddles are very pale (her comb is flopping over to side a bit too), she hardly moves. She walks very lamely, only a few feet or so, then just lies there, closing her...
This is Lucy, she is a buff goose, about one year old now, and she just started laying about a month ago. I noticed her belly hanging a little lower than usual about two weeks ago, and I googled it, but couldn't really find much about it. She was acting perfectly normal and I felt her belly to...
3 of my 9 chickens are missing some feathers. One is a buff Orpington and the other 2 are silver laced wyandottes. The wyandottes have especially raw skin by their tail feathers. I’ve also noticed these tiny black bugs in the coop, but I haven’t seen any bugs on my chickens. I clean out their...
Please help!!! I came home yesterday from work and was tending to my flock when I saw my rooster’s eye swollen shut with congealed blood hanging from it! I brought him inside and cleaned it as best I could with solution, put Vetericyn eye gel on it and gave him his own spot in a covered dog...
Will take any help I can get! My two Rhode Island reds, Henrietta and Mildred, were victims of over breeding from my broad rock rooster. He was not a very nice rooster and was hurting my girls so we made the hard decision to remove him from the flock. He’s been gone a few weeks now and this is...
