I was assisting my baby calls to hatch today, one has made it out already and the other I have progressed with. But upon further inspection on the third egg I see after opening up the air pocket, what looks to be the egg sac! I am so confused at what to do! If this baby is backwards how am I...
I’ve noticed my baby call duckling is Constantly itching at its face. It will take it’s foot and itch at its face a lot. Usually it will itch right under his beak, near his ear, or on his head.
At first I thought it was just preening, but he does it so much like it’s bothering him. What kind...
This is my first time doing Call duck eggs, I’ve assisted and hatched countless amounts of Chicken and Muscovy duck eggs. So I had no problem taking on call ducks. This breed has had my attention for a long time and I’ve always wanted pet ducks.
I ordered 14 hatching eggs from the state next to...

So I’ve been keeping Daisy in our little coop for our bantams, I only opened it last night to let the bantams go in. I may have left for only an hour and by the...

So I made this post👆
About my duck looking pale, someone had said molting can cause that. I figured it was that too and was really relieved.
But the worst has come to happen…
She is now even...
My sweetest Muscovy female (daisy) is not well, she seems very pale and slow acting. She is free ranged and gets fed grain 2 times a day. I tried feeding her some peas today and she ate them but now as vigorously as my other girls. Here are pictures of her vs my other females. Notice how her...
Ok this just popped up out of no where! It’s so small!! All of our chickens are close to 3 yrs old and have been laying their whole lives.
But 9 weeks ago we got Silver laced Wyandottes, mystic onyx’s, Californian whites, olive eggers, and speckled Sussex chicks! And today they are 9 weeks old...
Hi everyone!
Instead of vaccination is there a natural way I can prevent my silkies from getting mareks disease? Something I can put in their water or a type of food? I just wanted some information since I can’t find any online.
We are leaving on a trip today and won’t be back till late and I just noticed this little guy acting weird. He can put his neck forward but hold it back like this all the time.
So a neighbor of ours was getting rid of her chickens so we took them. She has no clue what breed but I think they are sapphire gems! This one has this weird skin hanging what can we do?!?
The other two have feathers missing from a part of their necks. Is it a disease?
It’s bothering her.

My now almost 3 week old silkie chicks have been growing great! Getting feathers in and everything. We only hatched 4, I noticed one of them about a week ago was hunched together and in the corner, I watched his behavior and he would eat and drink. He had some pasty poop on his butt. I cleaned...

So We bought 25 pullet chicks from a hatchery this year, five of each breed we wanted, I know with that many it’s easy to mess it up. Only 24 survived. I was hoping y’all could help confirm they are all Pullets. Some look suspicious to me
So with that being said I marched outside to...
I’m just stumped on this one, I was thinking a splash silkie but the more feathers it gets the more I think otherwise. Do y’all have any Ideas? I’m super curious
We are in such a pickle! When we first bought our Guinea’s was about 2 years ago.
We got 16 of them, raised them up and then moved them into a coop. It wasn’t long before we fell in love with our noisy guard dogs and slightly annoyed😂
We had a blue heeler mom at the time and a Great Pyrenees...
So we have 5 Muscovy duck eggs , all are on day 36 and internally pipped yesterday.
None have pipped yet. Im not worried but just curious.
What timeline after internally pipping do I need to intervene? Like how many hours after the internal pip do I need to make a hole. Im curious for now and...
Why won’t my signature show? I have it saved in account details. It won’t pop up when I message and I don’t see it on my profile. I see everyone else’s so I really wanted to fix mine. I thought maybe I just couldn’t see it.
My Pilgrim geese eggs internally pipped 2 days ago and one of them is chirping a LOT. Should I intervene?? They haven’t pipped through the shell yet. The humidity is 75 so that’s all good.
