Hi, trying to determine the sex of the six week old backyard mix bird. Comb is not really red and looks like my other pullets. Wondering your thoughts.
Thanks for the help.
Below are pictures of three Easter eggers that are six week old. They have different colored leg tags.
Any ideas if they are all pullets or all roosters. They have grown out about the same as far as feathering, comb redness etc. I know time will tell for sure but getting curious. Thank you...
Hi. I ordered pullets. Thinking one is a Roo? They are four weeks. Two pictures each a different Maran. Think the one to the left is a Rooster as the comb is larger, and his feet seem to be bigger and the one to the right is a the Pullet.
Thank you for the answers ahead of time.
Hi.I have a few questions about breeding to get olive colored eggs.
1- I have a BYM Easter Egger than lays a light olive green egg. Can I breed her to deepen the green color. If I breed her with a Welsummer Rooster will the offsprings egg be darker or the same egg color as the mother hens was...
I want to possibly hatch Auto Sex and or Sex Linked chicks so I can determine sexes at birth.
I currently have Golden Laced Wyandottes, Australorps, and Welsummers and Rhode Island Red hens.
What rooster(s) breed(s) would I need to create auto sexing and or sex linked chicks? Would it even...
Hi. This bird is 19 weeks old. It has tail feather as a Roo but there is no comb?? Breed is Wyandotte/Easter Egger.
Is it a Pullet?? Or late blooming Rooster? Leaning toward rooster but it is not crowing.
Thanks for the help.
Still learning. Thinking Pullet due to not a lot of reddening of comb or waddles. Could anyone help?
Thank you in advance.
Bird is 12 weeks old.
Thanks again.
This bird is 11 weeks old. Not crowing yet. He is a rooster correct??
It looks much like my grown hens but…… his/her comb is quite red compared to others I have the same age.
Hi again.
The first is a ROO, but double checking.
…..Pictures 1-5
The second I am not sure?
……Pictures 6-10
They were born the end of May. Close to 10 weeks old.
BYM- Easter Egger, and Wyandotte.
Can you help me finalize the sexed? Thank you.
Appreciate everyone of you.
.
Do Pullets tail feathers all round at the end for all breeds?
I assume this is Pullet. Still learning.
She is 5.5 weeks old.
Her feathers are full, especially on her tail.
Thanks for the help.
Appreciate you all.
This post has pictures of three chicks. Think all are pullets. Any guesses?
They were born around June 13th. That puts them at 5 1/2 weeks old.
Picture 1- Large chick all the way at the right.
Medium chick on the left.
Smallest chick in the middle.
Picture 2-
Large and Small Chicks...
This baby at birth looked like a female as she had the wing scallop. I was wondering what you think she might be? It was born the first week in June sometime. Father was an Easter Egger and mom I think was a Wyandotte or could be a Wellsummer. Any ideas? Or too early yet? Others similar to...
