Ducks attacked
So, this morning a fox was able to scale our fence and somehow open the back door of the coop where my 2 Ancona ducks were. We caught the fox on top of the fence and scared it off but not before it killed one of them. They were laying next to each other and the one who survived wasn't moving... -
Curious if anyone has experienced this with their ducks...
So, I am fairly new to ducks (about 10 months in). We have an all female flock, 2 Anconas and 2 Golden Hybrid Layers. They free range during the day and tend to stay pretty close to the house. The Anconas are especially good at watching for danger and will head for cover when they feel... -

New Gold Star Hybrid holding up right leg and limping, foot is very swollen. Pics attached. Area is NOT hot, but spot right in the middle is very hard. Other joints have some movement, middle joint is stiff. Appreciate your help! -
Introducing new female ducks to an all female flock
I am new to ducks this summer and could use some advice. Started with 3 Pekins, thanks to my college son buying ducklings and raising them (unbeknownst to his RA) in his dorm room for a month and bringing them home for the summer. All 3 turned out to be drakes and we rehomed them to a friends...
