I have a year and a half old bantam hen that’s gone broody a handful of times with confirmed fertile eggs with no luck of them becoming anything. What could the issue be? I’ve never seen an egg that looks even close to being fiable but they have the bullseye in the yoke.
She’s the little white...

Here are the previous posts regarding my issue. I know some eyes will be rolling out of annoyance but I’m really worried about her and haven’t ever dealt with eye or respiratory issues before.
She can open her eye for very short periods of time. Usually when I approach her. It’s not goopey or...
I have posted about this before but can’t figure out how to embed the post link 🤦♀️ bottom line is she’s getting worse and I don’t know what to do.
HELP!! 3 1/2 yr old But Orpington hen with a swollen eye. It started six days ago when I brought her in to give her something Nutra-Drench cause...
I have a 3.5 year old Buff Orpington that started sleeping outside about two days ago. I’d noticed that she was slower than normal about a week ago and she wasn’t eating the treats I was giving. She’s always been my picky one so I didn’t think anything of it till I saw her sleeping outside...
Sigh! I've seen this before and I don't want it to be true.
She was fine yesterday but this morning I went out to check on my flock around 8:45am and found her laying down. She did get up as soon as I came out. She ate some treats but laid down shortly after. She's been laying down in random...
My two year old Buff Orpington been has been deep sleeping several times throughout the day for three days now. She is still laying, laid one yesterday and the day before. She's drinking and eating some. But every time I go outside, she's passed out with her head in her wing. She doesn't wake...
I so hope this girl doesn't die on me like my other hen. I literally just lost one a few days ago. Below is the link to that post and there are videos and pictures of Thumper last night and today.
She's been laying down several times starting yesterday afternoon. She's still walking around...
Three days ago, I noticed my 9 month old Easter Egger laying down in the middle of the morning. Didn't think to much of it till she was still like that an hour later. Throughout the day, I found her laying in odd spots.
She was still eating and drinking.
Today, I threw out some meal worms...
I have 5 hens, three are two years old and the other two are around 9-10 months old. We had a rooster that came with the older three but had to rehome him a while back. None of them have gone broody but this particular hen has been acting similar to how our rooster acted. She is the smallest of...
This is her second molt of the season. She already was in short supply of feathers due to an aggressive roster. This time around, her feathers don't look healthy at all. I can't find the word to describe how they look 🤦♀️ its almost like she's lacking something but I just don't know what it is...

Good morning, (or afternoon, evening, or night).
I have a six month old hen that was well and fine two days ago but later that evening she was found sitting in the middle of the yard. As I approached her, she got up, but not all the way, and walked. That's when I noticed she was limping on her...
Hello, please forgive me if there has already been a post about this but I haven't been able to find the help I need in any of the threads.
I got 2- 4.5 month old Easter eggers from my local feed store about 3 weeks ago. One of them ended up dying 3 days later. I'm not sure from what but I...
Hi there, I'm Valerie and I'm a backyard chicken owner since April 2021. My flock was originally 4, 3 hens and a rooster (all buff orpingtons), but I had to re-home Mr. Fred due to not having as many hens as he needed. He also wasn't fond of my husband.
I've since increased my flock with 3 more...
