hen and rooster killed one chick of 6; why?
My hen sat on fertilized eggs and they all hatched and are beautiful. I noticed that one kept seeming to "get in trouble". I came home the first day after a few hours to find only feathers and no life sign of the one the hen seemed to "pick on". I guess she and the rooster pecked it, killed...- jjhphome

HP setting on fertile eggs
That's right. Henny Penny is setting on fertile eggs from another Bantam hen from a friend. Her eggs were broken today. She's outside her pen now and later tonight my husband and I are going to move her and her 'new' eggs to the box in her coop/pen. Think she will continue to set on them...- jjhphome
