    Cyst/lump near eye of chicken.

An acquaintance's chicken has a weird lump near the eye, they tried to drain it but no pus came out. I think that it's a deep cyst, possibly some respiratory infection. I'm writing this for them as they don't really use English websites. Any advice on treatment? I think a hypodermic needle...

Silicone mat on the bottom of coop for ease of cleaning?

Hello. I would like to ask if it would be possible to use a silicone mat at the bottom of a coop to catch all the feces and then you would simply roll it up and clean it outside? I use dry bedding so I thin this could work with it. Any opinions on this as I haven't seen any other people doing...

Dealing with summer heat in faverolles

This isn't anything urgent and I just want to ask. How do you deal with salmon faverolles during summer? I'm a bit concerned as it isn't summer yet and one of our faverolles was panting in the coop. Outside she isn't panting but I can't imagine the swelter that's going to be inside that coop...

    Baby chick laboured breathing

I have a 1 day chick that is breathing very deeply. He lays on the ground with his beak opening and closing. His whole back is moving you can hear it and it almost sounds like a heartbeat. What could it be? I want to know if it's anything contagious as the other 3 chicks are doing great. Thanks
