    Another first egg post

    I now have 3 ladies earning their keep!! Hopefully only another 4 weeks to get the other 10 freeloaders on the nest. I find it interesting that eggs from two Dominant Copper pullets are so different in color. Maybe the eggs from the new layer will darken up a bit?

    What feathering is this?

    I would like to know how to describe the black and white feathers on the front of this pullet. Is it laced? Penciled? Barred? Just curious for my own knowledge as info I’ve found on Mr. Google is a bit confusing to me.
