My ducks have bumblefoot and it's stringy. Anyone have a picture of this type from when they removed it? I need confirmation I'm identifying the infection correctly.
Thanks
I have been treating my duck for a bad case of bumblefoot for awhile now. Today I soaked her in Epsom salt and peeled off the scab and was able to easily remove some of the white hardened infection. After I did this I noticed a white string in her foot. I gently pulled on it and I think it is...
This bumblefoot mark (healing) is still pretty large in size, but she's limping. Should I let it heal? Soaked her in Epsom salt right before this. I'm so worried, please help.
I need help with suggestions of what to do next with my ducks foot. Initially I didn't know it was bumble. It was bleeding when I looked at it.ive applied prid and it has scabbed over. It still looks to semi bleed if I touch it. I didn't see a core at all and am not sure if I remove it how I...
My poor girl has the sore on her foot. It looks like bumblefoot in the fact that the sore almost look like it could be pulled out. But, the sore is soft, it's not like a bumblefoot where it's black. Maybe it's a different stage? Any ideas? She's wrapped with vetricyn spray and prid.
Trying to figure out what is wrong with my runners. Two of them have eyes that are discolored in the corner. Picture of the worst eye attached. No injuries seen. Please help
I removed three spots from my ducks foot today. One of them, the plug came completely out and no blood. The others were just slight blood. I have a video and will post it when I can. Here is a photo before and after. Anyone think there's still some left on the blood ones? I'm not going to...
My duck has this bald spot on where her wing bends. First picture just to show location. Second picture is a close up. Both wings.
Any idea what it is?
I'm frustrated. I've a weird reaction when baking with duck eggs. I've had a weird thing happen twice. I've successfully baked many things with ducks eggs but today, I baked banana bread and had this weird liquid separation happen. I also had the exact same reaction with brownies. Anyone know why?
Several weeks into treatment now.. not sure why her left toe looks a bit swollen. The hydrocolloid bandaid has been covering it so I'm going to move it to just the right now. Scab is firm so think she doesn't need to be wrapped anymore.
How do we think this is healing? It has drastically shrank in size, still firm but I don't think It got to the severity where there was build up, so I did cut and salve. I think it looks good? Do you think I could let her run with a bandaged foot with the pack again?
My duck is getting over bumblefoot so I've stared at her feet quite a bit the past few weeks. What is this dark course edge in seeing around the top of her feet in between her toes? I couldn't clean it off. I have been wrapping her between her toes but I don't do it really tight where I think it...
Thanks to everyone on this forum i'm treating my duck for what we suspect as bumblefoot. I've been treating her four days. I've taken a picture every day to see if there is noticeable improvement and I think there is! :) I thought it was interesting to see the difference, I think in another week...
Alright I had posted a couple days ago about treating my runner for bumblefoot. I know it is a lengthy treatment. My question is - is it bad for them to be separated for a long time. Currently her foot is wrapped and she's in the coop all day - always with a friend. The other four are free...
