    Rooster Behaviors

    Are Rhode Island Red roosters usually aggressive? Mine will bite, given the chance. We raised them from day old chicks, they're 6 months old now. They don't usually try to hurt us, but I'm concerned that if I let them free range, they might chase any people they don't know.

    Hi I am Con1c66. I have 9 chickens, including 3 roosters(all Rhode Island Reds), and 6 hens ( 3 Golden Comets, 3 Black Australorps). Happy to be here!

    Is 3 roosters too many for only 6 hens ?
