    4 week old duck question

    How long can 27 day old ducklings frollic outside if the day temp range is only 12 to 17C? (52F to 63F)? There are only 2 of them so they can't huddle for warmth much. The sun is strong here being closish to Antarctica but the ground and air temps are cool.

    Guest gave them veg without asking and I do not and can not get commercial grit anywhere close by. Should I give them coarse sand/tiny pebbles? I am freaking out. Please advise.
