I have a 4x7 chicken coop. This is my first year having chickens. How do I keep the coop from over heating? I have vents but it is turning into a sauna. It is a 102 degrees outside and about 90 degrees in the coop. Dont know what to do. I tried an exhaust fan and it doesn’t seem to be doing...
Is it better to have an exhaust fan or have vents in your coop? I live where it gets cold during the winter so don't know what would be best. I do have a resin coop so cutting into it takes a little bit more of planning on how to do it if that makes sense.

I’m new to chickens and want to make sure I am trying to keep them safe. For my coop I am using hardware cloth and locks with a key on my door. But curious if something like this works for added protection or are these worthless.

What breed is this? I believe they told me a stripe americana but I’m not sure. I can’t really find anything online. Also is it possible to tell if this is a pullet or roster?
