    2 cockerels? Trying to help a friend.

    One of my friends hens hatched 2 chicks this Summer. Are they both cockerels? They are 19 weeks. No crow, no egg from either. Here’s the first one: Here’s the second: If there is a girl, I’d suspect the second one. It made a different noise when I picked it up.

    Big dark spot in air cell. Has this embryo died?

    Incubating chicken eggs. It is day 22. Most of the chicks hatched yesterday. But I haven’t seen any action from this guy, yet. Notice the weird dark patch in the air cell. Also the dark, detached looking spots inside. Has this embryo died?

    GLW with a single comb?

    Hey guys, Interesting comb question. I bought 2 GLW day-old chicks from TSC. They are about 20 weeks now. Both are indeed, GLW, but one of them has a single comb. How is this possible. Might she not be pure bred? First two pictures are the rose comb one. And second 2 are the single comb.
