5 weeks old now. Barnyard mix. Out of 4 chicks one is very obviously a roo, 2 look like pullets to me, but not sure on #4 here. I do have an older sibling hen that is colored just like this, but would love opinions. Thanks!
Whats the earliest anyone has placed chicks under a broody hen? I have a hen that's been setting for less than a week and I'm really tempted to give her some chicks but don't want to do it too soon and end up with babies I now have to brood.
She has successfully raised chicks in the past and...

1/2 bielefelder and I'm thinking 1/2 easter egger because of the wonky comb but I'm not 100% on the mom. Could be out of my maran-ish hen because she has a somewhat large somewhat floppy comb lol. Roughly 3 months old.
Is this thing too flashy to be a hen?! Currently I have 4 that are the same age and all seem similar to me expect the other 3 aren't as pretty, though they all have some splash coloring. All hens were easter egger and the rooster is a bielefelder. I also included a pic of two of its siblings.
I purchased this pullet as a chick from a local feed store advertised as a welsummer. Is this what they look like as they grow? Or was this mislabeled?
Hi I have a 1/2 bielefelder 1/2 easter egger that I really think is a cockeral, but would like some second opinions. He is 3 months old and there are some of his siblings behind him. I started leaning towards roo when I saw him walking on some pretty sturdy legs compared to his siblings! Thanks...
