I recently hatched a Harry Potter themed flock of 9 chicks and am waiting for the gender test results to come in this week.
While I wait, I thought it would be fun to get people’s guesses. Chicks are 11-12 days old.
#3-6 are Black copper Marans
#7-12 are Olive eggers

I have a flock of 9 OE and BCM chicks, and one of the OEs is noticeably smaller than the rest. I noticed it a few days ago and fed her an egg yolk / electrolyte slurry via syringe intermittently for 3 days. She seemed to improve and is more social / pecking / eating with the flock...
Day 7 candling photo - dot is moving around in there, so I’m thinking it’s still viable, but do you think there’s a blood ring forming?
This is an olive egger (#9 Neville Longbottom), so hoping it pulls through.

We have 12 eggs from a local farm/not shipped. Set last Friday, so should hatch on Friday, July 18.
