    PLEASE HELP!!!

I’m completely at a loss. Despite treating with corid, keeping brooders clean and bleaching everything, I’m losing my chicks left and right. We lost 9 yesterday, 1 this morning, and now atleast 2 more have bloody poop. I have 2 silkies and I’m treating corid but deathly afraid it is going to...

    Converting Shed Into Coop

I just recently purchased a shed to convert into a chicken coop. It's an 8x12 so I hope to house the majority of my flock in it. It comes with one large human door, a window and ventilation at the very top on both sides. I have several questions as I will need to make some modifications: 1. I'd...

    Mystery Egg/Chick

A friend gave me 2 fertilized eggs from her chickens. She clearly has a variety and doesn’t know who laid the eggs I hatched, other than the obvious. Both hatched today. One is obviously a naked neck but have no clue what this one is. Any guesses?

    What Chick Did I Find?

This baby was in with Americana straight runs at TSC but it did not look like them and clearly was not one, atleast I don’t think so. It’s almost white, extremely fluffy with puffy cheeks. The last pic is the chick with a buff I got as well. What do I have?

Coccidia - Blood Seen in Broder

Just saw blood in poop in my youngest chicks brooder. I didn’t think of taking a pic before I cleaned it up but here is what is still left that’s dried on to the brooder plate. No one is acting lethargic and I can’t tell who it’s coming from. I have corid on hand and started it already for them...

2 Silkies - Hen or Roo?

I’m new to Silkies, heck, new to “owning” chickens. I bought these from a lady unsexed. They are 4/5 weeks old. She said Silkies are notoriously hard to sex so was hoping someone who could tell me what to look for to determine what I have!

    Hen or roo

Can anyone tell if this is a Roo? The comb seems darker than most. It’s about 6 weeks old.

    Crazy inconsistent feathers

Can anyone tell me why this one sapphire gem “pullet” (what it was sold to me as and I have no clue if that is accurate) has feathers growing in completely different from the others I got the same day. The majority of the others are already almost fully feathered. Pic of another one for reference.
