The lady I got my last chickens from caught them with a fish net and carried them by there ankles. The chickens became very still when placed upside down. She said this is the best way to carry a chicken. I was wondering if this was overly stressful to the bird?

Hi, pretty new at this game. Had three hens for about a year and just lost one to a hawk or owl. I have had some issues that we have worked thru and am excited about learning and sharing.
