    I removed my Phoenix rooster from the flock 4 months ago and would like to get a Red Star rooster to sire peeps but not sure how long to wait before there is no longer sperm supplies from the first rooster still in my hens' reproductive tract.

    first duck egg today

    I received ny first egg from my Runner Duck today and it was 30 degrees in the barn. Will this egg be ruined? Where should I store eggs until I have a clutch? Should I start leaving them in the nest when it is warmer to see if she will set on it?
