These marks showed up on my gander's beak a few days ago. Does anyone know what they are from or what they are? They are only on one side of his beak and all appeared on day while he was playing in the mud. His beak is wet in the pic.
Last night I arrived home to discover my male was bleeding from the foot. It appears as though one of his claws got caught on something and is torn. The bleeding eventually subsided but my concern is with infection. My birds are currently in their winter house and it isn't the most sanitary...
My ganders are filthy and don't seem to want to bathe!
They have a pen they go in at night with a small pool in it and generally bathe in there. I replaced the pool yesterday from a pink one to a blue one which is slightly larger. (I needed the pink pool for my pot-belly pig).

Hi,
I've had my embden geese for a couple of days now and am having a rather difficult time finding out what is NOT good for them or even potentially dangerous. I've given them grass clippings, little cracked corn, watermelon, romaine lettuce, and green pepper. They are a little anxious about...
Hi,
My neighbor gave me a pair of white geese. I know absolutely nothing about geese and the neighbor wasn't very informative. She said they eat weeds, grass, etc and in the winter she fed them oats?! They are both females, 1 year old. I have them in a 10 x 10 covered pen right now with a...
