thank you for the thoughts.....we haven't had eggs yet from them (we think!) They are so beautiful to watch. The darker one, Blue, is really quiet a heavy bird...and loves to cuddle.
DT, this lighter one is a crazy one! she runs everywhere!!!
When we bought these hens we were told they were green egg layers.....now we are trying to decide if they are and what breed they are..... PLEASE HELP!!!
Thank you.
no she didn't have any other wounds at first but did notice blood from being pecked. She is VERY happy being on her own... she is getting her feathers back nicely!
We have 19 hens, and are completely new at this!!! We started with our flock in the spring and love every moment. I am so grateful for all the ideas, suggestions and help from this community and the members!!
I look forward to learning more!

We have a molting hen that I have had to remove from the rest of the flock due to the fact that she is being pecked to the point of bleeding..... what can we do? we have 19 hens and haven't had this problem before.
Thank you
We have just started our adventure with hens.... started with 6 but lost them to coyotes. We now have 10 and are learning something new each and every day!!!
