    I have 5 hens and 2 roosters they started to fight so rehomed one rooster with a friend who has about 30 hens so he got a nice home and can still roam free he is happy our neighbours have moved and left all their chickens I am really upset and cross;) Not really wanting anymore as mine roam...

    My friend has just got 2 turkeys that living happily with her chickens she noticed that when they eat their faces change colour does anyone know why this happens thanks in advance

    our chickens are very much free range we feed them in an area where we are trying to enc them for the night they never been locked in mother makes a lot of noise this is the area she lays her eggs there. Is it because it is her laying area ?or just because she doent want to be locked in.:|

    Thank you chirpy Think I need to lock them away just before the dad comes up for them but he is spending more time here with his wife So it will be ok to shut the mum in with the young the outbuilding is where the mum laying her eggs so she has taken to it not really to goin in there last...

    we have benn given a mum 6 teenage 4 hens 2 roosters they come from neighbouring plot they happy to stay around all day we made an outbuilding cosy for them and feed them there mum has laid eggs there too but at night they sometimes sleep in tree in our plot but now dad appeared too and at night...
