I ordered the eggs from a lady in NE Oklahoma. One of my crazy hens jumped on him and bloodied his comb. Now I have a newer picture and he does have more of a tail now. I just don't know much about the standard of perfection and did not know if I even had a chance.
I know very little about the standard for the buff Orp, I am new to the breed. when I look at images online he looks different to me. He was hot so his wings are normally in the correct position. And he is under a year.
I have three hens wheezing when they breathe. They keep their eyes closed most of the time and every once in a move their heads around funny or stretch their neck out when they breathe. Egg production has been normal, no matted eyes or discharge. Once will not eat or run around the other two are...
I just had 5 out of 12 hatch all with detached air cells. Hatching was really stressfull for me. They all just pipped and hatched from random spots in eggs.
