Free Americauna rooster in the Duncan/Marlow area. He's beautiful. It's too windy to take a picture. He's great with my two grown hens but he's aggressive towards my NN juveniles.

Our chicken yard is a very large dog pen. The predator pulled on him where it connects and it forms a triangle. I think I will make sure everybody is in one of the coops and it's locked up tight. Putting solid surfaces along the bottom is a good idea. I'm glad he didn't get to eat him. That...

. Stupid raccoons! So far we haven't had any problems with hawks. Knock on wood. We see them flying around here. Our chicken yard is covered with chicken wire. I know nothing keeps out a determined predator, but we try.

My Americana rooster finally got lucky. He kept trying and trying but they threw him off. My barred rock still wants nothing to do with him. He seems to like her best. I guess the Americauna hen gave it up too easily!
