Snowbird posted some pictures of a 55 gallon plastic drum set up for housing individual birds. I can't seem to find them. Does anyone know what pae they're on or how search for them?
I just came from this breeders farm, and he says that these will be the last eggs he offers this year. These are the best Yokohamas I've ever seen. http://www.ebay.com/itm/331162172317?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
I did manage to contact the seller, and rambob59, he said you should contact Rick Ferandes in Campbell CA. Although his line is not from Mr Fernandes, he thought that he had some of the best in CA. or at least did when he left CA some years ago.
Red Shoulder Yokohama eggs on eBay now. Anyone know anything about the seller?...http://www.ebay.com/itm/331156275641?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
When they really get going it's easy to scoop up several cups for treats if you wish. I sometimes set a bucket with offal with a peice of expanded metal over the top in the runs. When the maggots go to seek out a place to pupate in the earth and crawl out of the bucket my birds pick them off...
We process every week so we have quite a lot of offal. Essentially just the intestines since we sell everything else so there are no bones. We dig post holes as we need them with a 10" auger as deep as it will go and make a little compost pit. We soon have BSFs and other fly maggots turning...
The best packing for shipping hatching eggs I ever saw was by an aquaintence. He can put 40 eggs in a medium flat rate box. When he designed this pack, he packed the eggs and then smacked it half a dozen times with an 8 pound sledge, much as if the box were a golf ball and the sledge were a golf...
I don't get around much, but I was told yesterday that the APA was was judging BCM with both the "American" and "French" standards. When the APA accepted the BCM Standard I printed out the standard as finalized by the Marans club and have been breeding my birds accordingly. Are there now two...

Bump. I need some answers here. Meyer doesn't believe me and will give me no satisfaction as far as these birds go. I have no idea what they are and will probably give them away via Craigslist just to keep from feeding them.
These are too tall and rangy for Midget Whites, although they are not very heavy. I do have a post in the Turkey Forum as well. Can't seem to get any information from either Forum post.
