    I agree with LacyBlues - but would add another couple of things....Five point combs are difficult with this breed - if one of your roos has a five point comb, that's a plus. I've seen 6,7, and 8 point combs - not good. And, this will be easier with your splash probably, see if the lacing...

    You are right in with that - Andalusians are the hardest breed to keep, between the blacks and splashes and "we don't sit on eggs" - no wonder they are endangered. But still love them - blueandalusian.com

    They get closed in their houses about 6pm and roam from 10 am....except they can only go so far because they are nailed down in terms of protecting them - check blueandalusian.com for pics.

    Soooo. I first started out with Andalusians in my horse barn (14 stall barn with hayloft above). They all flew up into the the top of the hay loft. Did not work. Combs froze, couldn't find eggs etc. Now I have them partitioned off in real houses, and no frozen combs, no escapes. It's been minus...

    PS - I will ship eggs, day old straight run all color chicks, or juveniles that I hatched last year - these are show quality...and as close to the standard as you will find on the East Coast.

    I have many birds from Tom Roebuck's lines (Canadian and American) plus I'll have eggs from a line from Spain this Spring. Mostly I have cckls and pullets that are way better than anything you can get from a hatchery. Check out blueandalusian.com if you are interested :-)
