You mentioned new feathers....could they be moulting? I have heard of strange things happening during that time. I sure hope she pulls through. She is fortunate to have you looking after her. I am sure some one will come along who is knowledgeable about this and help you. Hang in there!!

I will try the vinegar and water douche... I was wondering if I needed to take a sample in for testing....now just to try and locate a vet willing to treat chickens or run a test for me... Thank you for all your advice...I really appreciate it!!

Ok...good to know. There is nothing sweet smelling about her backside. And the yellow gunk is thick and sticky (yeah sorry...that too is also disgusting). I wonder what kind of infection I am up against??? The guy that sold her to me probably knew something was up with her. She hasn't laid...

Having trouble finding the Genetian Violet Antiseptic. Grrrrr No one seems to carry it around here. Still have a couple more olaces to check. I can probably order online though. Should I bathe her again or wait till I have the antiseptic?

UPDATE: I cut the "rock" in half. The outside seemed to be like the outside shell of an m&m and the inside looked like semi hard yolk. Weird. Perhaps it was an egg inside an egg???

Just checked the tiny egg....you were right!! NO yolk...only egg white. So what does that mean exactly? Is that a sign of a problem? Or perhaps just a misfire?

Hi there....so sorry to hear about Esther. I am sure that the soak helped her pass whatever may have been stuck. I sure hope it was just a misfire. I will be adding prayers for her along with Golden Sparrow. I am having strange going ons with a couple of my girls too. I found a blob of egg...
