[/IMG] I had 2 pairs of Silkys. A white rooster & hen, and a buff rooster n hen. These babies are what hatched.

This has just not been a good hatching year at all. Last yr I had 3 hens hatching eggs. 2 shared a nest n no problem. This yr I've 5 hens. They can't make up their minds which nest they want to sit on! 2 batches of eggs were totally ruined thus way. Right now there are 3 nests & 4 broodies. 1...

Tonight I set 16 turkey eggs in an incubator. Here's Hoping some are fertile.

I have at least 2 and maybe 3 turkys laying eggs. I've now seen both of my Royal Palms sitting on the nest. Yesterday while one of the RP hens was on the nest my 4yr old Blue Slate stood over her pulling leaves, straw n sticks around the sitting hen. Have 11 eggs in the nest.

One of my Royal Palm hens laid 3 eggs this week ending. 2 of the eggs were just laying in the run. 3rd egg was in the turkey house. I like to go in their house after they go to roost & talk & pet them. This evening one of the less than 1yr old hens sat for me while being petted. So I figure...

My female Silkies were 7-9months. None sooner than 7months.

Both. I sell surplus polts and keep several for eating. Plus I make sure we have a tom and 2-4 hens for breeding. I just recently acquired the Royal Palms. I'm very surprised at how much smaller they are than the Bourbon Reds.

Where are you located? I have 3 Royal Palms 2 Bourbon Reds a Blue Slate & a Rusty Black as well as 44 chickens. They all get to free range on our 2 acres nearly every day but are fenced in at night.

What did you do to get the black & white color?

I've read segments of this thread for the first time tonight. The posted pictures are absolutely beautiful! Does anyone here sell eggs? I live in the top of southern Missouri.

x I have17 month old Bourbon Red that had laid 8 eggs this month. Neighbors dog used her for a chewy toy. Didn't hurt her, just scared her badly. As a result no more eggs this past week. I put 6 of the eggs in my incubator. Hope they hatch for me.
