ACTHA is an all breed association. You can ride an Arab, an Appaloosa, A mule, A donkey, or any other breed or type of horse. Just look up the association at http://www.actha.us
I had tons of breyers when I was a kid. I lost some in moves and some to my younger sister. I now have a much smaller collection and a collection of a few select "painted Ponies" and various other horse related items.
One of my horses is currently tied for 6th place in our state in ACTHA competitive trial events out of around 160 horses. So she's doing really good. My other mare is in the top 30, but Hubby rides her and he's only been able to go to 5 events this year.
I like the ACTHA events because it's a...
Yes muscovies can be black and white. We had one at the zoo I worked at and he was a wonderful black and white dude. They have many neat colors. I really want a few colored ones as I only have the full white ones at the moment.
My grandmother (dad's mom) was a great help in my geneology. Way back when she was very young, she documented our family history all the way back to 1599 in Norway. The problem is she ONLY focused on the male line and only gave the "wife name" and was really vauge about the female line. So I...
Well I'm not sensitive to the entire "nightshade family" however I am allergic to a portion of it. The pepper portion, no paprika, no green bell peppers, no chili, etc. I eat peppers and my throat swells up and shuts off my breathing.

Did you know there are actually people who are so...
Hi all, I'm from over between Grants and Gallup and I have a small flock of chickens and ducks and Geese. I'm always looking for Colored Muscovy ducks if anyone knows of any near by. I've only go solid white ones at the moment.
Sorry to hear about the loss of your chickens. If you live anywhere near where Racoons are common, then it really could have been a family of racoons. I used to work at a zoo and the Racoons broke into the zoo's cages and killed several birds including a falcon and a red tailed hawk. Both had...
I replace chard in anything I would use spinach in. I made a wonderful Chard soup recently. I also take the largest stems and chop them up and use them in my pickle relish. I've also "pickled" chard. Put chard in spagetti sauce, soups, stews, and many other dishes. One of my favorites is to take...
Yep I just came back from a competitive trail ride this weekend. I've got 4 horses and a mule. I ride western mostly, Sidesaddle sometimes, and rarely but ocassionally english.
Yes I got one of those box kits one time and loved it. I'm going to try Portabella mushrooms this time instead of the button mushrooms. I haven't been able to grow the mushrooms on a log yet as I can't seem to get the humidity right for those in my arid climate.
All of mine are solid white with maybe a tiny spot of black on the head. When they are babies, they are yellow with the tiny black spots. I want to find some of the different colored ones, but so far locally all I've been able to find is white ones.
Sorry I know this is an "old" thread but I found it today while doing some research on the fodder systems. I was wondering if any of you tried to either purchase the system or make one on your own. I'm in the process of starting a small scale fodder system to test out the basics of it before I...
