Thank you so much for this article! We are present;y raising our first CXs, 12 of them, and this is the best info we have read so far about the breed! I was wondering if they could be free ranged along with our RIR, this has certainly answered all the questions I had about them!- bwindell

Raising Meat Rabbits
We just started raising meat rabbits in March of this year. Our breeders all have names. Our feeders are not not named. I guess keeping them on a no name basis helps when it comes time to butcher. I live in Southern Indiana and we got pretty cold here this winter.. our guineas survived with no problem. They did want to roost with our chickens, but during the warmer weather they prefer to roost in the trees. We are down to two out of 24 because the hens will sit on a nest hidden from us...- bwindell

These look like a great idea, however the ad comments that chickens will only take off the top and move on when they have plenty of grazing space and will only scratch until they dig everything up if their space is limited.. well, mine have the whole 2 acres to graze in, but only want to scratch...- bwindell

I have 3 Pekin ducks, 1 drake and 2 hens.. they are funny little blokes... They wander all over the place, leading our gander around on a goose chase,,,lol.
