Awesome! I am definitely going to be buying a few of those. Do you have to teach them to use it, or can they figure it out themselves? I dont want anyone dying of thirst from being too stupid to drink from a nipple! LOL!
I have been hatching chicks for a few years now, and keeping their water clean for more than ten minutes is always a challenge. I have always used either small bowls, or the small chicken waterers. I always put marbles in the water so that they don't drown. No matter what I use, shavings or poop...
I have found that if you cup your hands around a chick, and make little clucking noises close to it's head (like a momma hen would do) they really like it! They always calm right down, and quickly fall asleep. After a few days of doing this, my chicks always think of me as their momma! Its cute :)
Seramas are wonderful. They have the best temperament, and are the most beautiful little birds! I am currently expanding my Serama flock; I have one hen, one rooster, two juveniles(not sure of gender yet) and a few eggs in the incubator. It's so much fun to see what colors you get when they hatch!
