I have 12 chickens, 6 Red Sex Links and 6 Barred Rocks. They are now 6 months old. Tonight it is supposed to get to freezing temperatures. Are we supposed to put a heater in the coop? A heat lamp? Anything? The coop is well ventilated and we can close the door at night. They have not layed eggs...

My hens are just 3 months old and yesterday I found 3 eggs in one of the nests!!! Really??? This soon?? I thought they start laying at about 5-6 months??? They are Red Sex Links and Barred Rocks. The eggs are really small though, is it because they are still very young??

I think so too! :) It is 12 x 28 feet long. I hope to have it done by this weekend. :)

It is taking us forever to build this coop and run, we have so much going on. But we finally have the run frame up. Now we just have to put the fencing and finish the coop roof and paint it. Can't wait till it is done!!!
