Yesterday evening I noticed that our bantam rooster wasn't acting right, we ended up brining him in and separating him from all the others. He was acting lethargic, was pale, sticking tail out with diarrhea, which was white and brown (but very little brown), it was kind of a grey pasty...
Well the weird thing is, last year he was one, he didn't molt at all in august or even after. He just molted now of all times. Plus in spring summer and fall there were no lights on, just in the winter. I could maybe understand a molt if because of the light, but he didn't molt at all last...
So these are some pictures they would let us take, he is a bit camera shy and not wanting to hold still at all!
The light in the winter time only was on all the time for heat :(, but during spring, summer and fall not on at all.
No visible parasites in the fecal. But that isn't to say there...
I'll get some pictures taken of him and put them up. We use a red light lamp during the winter for warmth in their coop, but during spring summer and fall no lights. we usually dust the birds once every year to make sure there are no parasites on skin, we also use a special type of bedding in...
Hello all... I am surely worried about our peacock this season. Last year came and went and our India Blue Peacock didn't molt, we waited and waited and no molt. Then a week and a half ago....some tail feathers started to drop...then more....now he is completely train-less!!! With two lovely...
3 really? Wow. He doesn't have a log train. Just a few feathers about 12 inches or so long. Like the starting of his train. I wasn't sure of the age, because he has so man pin feathers I assumed. Though when I got him he was full of lice! Now that I treated that, even more pin feathers are...
We recently acquired a Peacock (about 2 weeks ago). Indigo is just under a year old (I think?). I don't want him to get lonely all by himself. Was thinking of getting a peachick or two. Or if anyone has any suggestions of another bird. (Type of chicken perhaps?) Would prefer a peachick...

Question one: So does anyone know where I can order some seamless leg bands for ducks???
Question two: One duck was injured one week ago, (his little feets got cut up) so he was in the house with me for about a week, they were born in late april I believe. When I went to go put him back with...

No cuts I don't think. It's above their cloaca (is that right? I would say the rectum for humans I suppose) so right where the umbilical cord would be?
Well the second one before he even got out of his egg had broken his yolk :( he was covered and dried with yolk plastered all over him. I had to in the end clean him and get him fluffy even had to get yolk out of his nose...poor thing.. He is very tiny compared to everyone else. I'm hoping he...
